My Practice Philosophy

 

To break the health and wellness divide through advocation and promotion of health and wellness integration in an effort to encourage patient rehabilitation, reduce pharmaceutical side effects, reduce pain medication addiction and pain medication necessity,  and Promote Wellness as part of a personalized health plan to inspire, and encourage holistic and medical healthcare collaboration. To bring awareness to the community and medical professionals to the benefits of massage therapy as an alternative to pharmaceutical treatment, reducing opioid addiction, and aiding In the availability of non-pharmaceutical resources, which provides a therapeutic complement to much mental health and emotional wellness, trauma, injury recovery, and pain management treatment plans.

 

I value commitment , boundaries, and confidentially because Commitment establishes a bonding relationship and is a promise one must uphold with someone or something and requires effort from each party involved to be truly effective; which is why I implement a client treatment and wellness journal that is personalized to the specific care needs of the individual to help the client and myself maintain treatment plan objectives and meet pre-selected health, wellness, and fitness goals. The data serves as a timeline to review your health improvements and physiological changes within your body, and mood over time. Keep track of daily goals to enhance the outcomes of your bodywork therapy sessions.

Boundaries establish a level of respect and rules of engagement, which prevents any improper or unwanted behavior or interaction between the client, therapist, and any outside parties.

Confidentiality establishes a level of trust between the client and therapist ensuring a non-judgmental, private environment to be honest about past traumas and discomfort, where any information shared will be kept in the strongest of confidence out of compliance with the HIPAA rules and regulations. In an effort to maintain client’s respect, and to implement client safety and confidence knowing that any information shared would be at the client’s discretion, and must be documented and signed by the client on a Request of Information Form (which can be found on my website in the Documents section) to be shared with any organization.

To live each day to help make somebody feel better than they felt before, to be more than I thought I could be, and to do more than I thought I could do.

To treasure above all else all of my Instructors and my mentor who paved the way by becoming educators; the willing and accepting recipients of my bodywork; as well as all of the healers and receivers who are able to personally attest  to the healing, restorative, and energy balancing effects that the continued practice of massage therapy can provide in meeting health, wellness, and self-care goals.

Why Did I Choose Massage Therapy for my Career?

Because I want to help others heal emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically.

What are my Hobbies?

I am a single parent who enjoys hiking, Zumba, and stargazing. I love learning new concepts and engaging in intellectual conversations. I love meditation, prayer, and self-help programs to aid in fitness and wellness health
